I went to this restaurant with a friend during the week. It was rainy and cold outside, but we were offered to sit on the covered terrace. When we refused, we were given a seat in the left part of the guest room directly on the draughty staircase. The innkeepers' day nursery seemed to be located here at the same time, because five small children were romping around so loudly in the guest room that my girlfriend and I could hardly talk. Nobody seemed to care. That was really very upsetting. The "Große Kiekebergsalat" I ordered for 8.50 euros consisted only of cucumber, tomato and a pile of green salad, nothing else. There wasn't even a single piece of bread and the dressing was completely covered in sugar. Conclusion: we will never go out to eat there again. One had the feeling of having got into a family celebration completely uninvited

The food was delicious

A great restaurant with delicious food and nice service. First choice if you primarily want to eat German food. From Wiener Schnitzel to Grützwurst, you are well served here. In addition, you will be delighted with a beautiful view of distant Hamburg on the raised terrace - even the Elbphilharmonie can be seen with the naked eye from the Kiekeberg.

I went here to eat around 6pm on a Sunday evening. The location is near the Kiekeberg open-air museum and the Schwarzeberge wildlife park, in the middle of nature, very contemplative and nice and quiet, without much hustle and bustle. The restaurant has a partially covered outdoor terrace, which makes sitting outside very pleasant in the evenings. On my photo you can see the saithe with potato salad and a side salad. The portion is a good size and is absolutely worth it for € 11.90. In terms of taste, every component (fish, potato salad, side salad) is a delight and recommended. I will definitely come back. The toilet was large, handicapped accessible, and clean.

Today we started a family day (8 adults and 2 children) with a breakfast together. We thank you for a great day. We would be delighted how our wishes could be clarified in advance, enjoyed the delicious breakfast, the very hard-working staff and the unique view of the Hamburg skyline. Our children felt comfortable in the playground and we were able to enjoy the day. We will definitely be happy to come back!
